What does the free Caveo Scan check?

The free scan assesses four of the seven domains we cover in our full audit: your executive footprint (public voice and video samples that could be used for AI voice cloning), domain and brand exposure (lookalike domains, SPF/DKIM/DMARC email authentication status), social and search impersonation (fraudulent profiles, fake business listings, ad impersonation), and credential exposure (whether your executive emails appear in known data breaches).

How long does the free scan take?

Results are delivered by email within 48 business hours of your request. Every scan is reviewed by a human analyst before delivery to ensure accuracy. There is no real-time form — we deliberately take the time to produce a quality report rather than an instant automated dump of findings.

Is the Caveo Scan really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the public-source exposure scan is genuinely free with no obligation. We perform the four-domain scan, produce a PDF report, and deliver it by email. The report includes an option to schedule a 30-minute conversation about the full audit, but there is no requirement to do so and no follow-up pressure.

Will the scan touch our systems?

No. The free scan uses only publicly available information sources: your website, LinkedIn, public DNS records via MXToolbox, certificate transparency logs, the dnstwist tool, and Have I Been Pwned for breach data. We do not log into anything, do not test any of your staff, and do not access any non-public source.

What is the difference between the free scan and the full audit?

The free scan covers four public-source domains (executive footprint, domain and brand exposure, impersonation, credential exposure). The full audit adds three domains that cannot be assessed from the outside: your wire and communication workflow, your staff and process vulnerability through a tabletop exercise, and your compliance and policy posture. The full audit also produces a scored report, a 90-minute leadership briefing, and a 90-day remediation roadmap.

What happens after I receive my scan report?

You can take the findings and act on them yourself — every finding includes enough detail to address with your existing IT provider. You can book a 30-minute conversation to walk through findings in detail. Or you can engage the full audit. There is no automatic follow-up; the next step is your choice.
